Designed For You
The site’s owner Julian Stortt handles all of the design and development work.
Form follows function – it is essential that Magic Price Comparison’s layout and aesthetics help the user easily find the price or product they are looking for.
In this vein the sites design is very clean and functional – using bright oranges &neutral blues to make the user feel comfortable browsing. Julian is no stranger to these design problems though, with experience from an MA in design helping him to develop user interactions integral to the sites fluidity. His knowledge of website coding and databasing was completely self taught and came about through a personal interest in the subject.
Magic Price Comparison was single handily built from the ground up by Julian using only a small piece of XML Parser software. The website is therefore easy to evolve as there are not any protocols or testing stages to go through when releasing new features etc.
Of course, the site would be nothing without the users and Julian prides himself in giving a personal service by taking time to reply to all emails, comments and suggestions etc.

A Growing Comparison Site
MagicPriceComparison.co.uk has been featured in the February edition of WebUser magazine in the ‘Best New Websites’ section. After only been up and running for just three months, MPC was reviewed along with the crop of the month’s best new and revamped sites and earned a very respectable 4 out of 5 stars.
WebUser found that the site was “very straightforward to use” and praised it for including “lesser-known merchants … alongside the usual big names” and giving users the ability to “view the biggest savings of the day with a single click”. Also highlighted were the excellent extra features such as the newsletter listing the week’s top deals and product-specific customer review system.
